With origins going back to the 19th Century, Blumenkinder (Flower Children) were given as presents to mark special occasions like the birth of a new child, a wedding, birthday or anniversary or simply as sign that spring is just around the corner.

Hand-made in Germany in the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) from hand-painted wood with a pained metal flower.
