This weekend I will upgrade all UK orders over £50.00 to a next day UPS deliver so it will go out on Monday and should be with you on Tuesday.
You‘re welcome 🎅🏼🎄

Hallo again,

Young Thorsten

My name is Thorsten and that's me up there ⬆️ or at least that WAS me a couple of years ago.

I'm a German national living and working in South East England, in fact I have now spent more time living in the UK than I have in Germany but as they say: You can take the boy out of Germany but you can’t take Germany out of the boy.

I’ve been around the (design) block for over 20 years now, so in case you are wondering, here is a bit of background.

After working for UK based manufacturer and retailer SCP for 5 years, I set up my own business in 2002, producing and distributing design-led products by young emerging UK based designers. At that time I felt there was a lack of opportunities for designers to bring their products to the market, a gap I was more than happy trying to fill.

In the following years I presented my ever growing collection at major international trade fairs in Milan, Paris, New York and London which helped kickstart the careers of now established international designers & artists such as Alexander Taylor, Barnaby Barford, Dominic Wilcox, Ed Carpenter, Andre Klauser and Attua Apparicio (Studio Silo).

In 2011 I launched my online shop Theo where I continued to sell and support young emerging designers from around the world, offering a platform and sales outlet. At the end of 2014 I decided I needed a break and decided to put the online shop into hibernation in order to have time off and to figure out what I was really passionate about and decided to swap the Big Smoke for a more tranquil life in the East Sussex countryside.

But, once a shopkeeper, always a shopkeeper and after an eight months break, I have decided to go back to my roots and bring you a (predominantly) German/Central European selection of products. Nice things. Things I love and care about but can’t possibly all keep for myself even though I am a bit of a hoarder (I like to call it collecting).

Enjoy the the site and if you have any questions/suggestions, E-mail me!!

Bye for now

Thorsten
