Vintage 1930s Rosenthal Dish

Vintage porcelain ashtray. I say ashtray but I’m only guessing from the logo on it (cockerel with pipe), maybe for pipes as it’s uncharacteristically thick and chunky. I presume it’s either advertising or from a bar/restaurant. 

Made by one of Germany's best known porcelain manufacturers Rosenthal. The backstamp dates this dish to 1937. 

Made in Germany from glazed porcelain.
