Striezel is the name of Germany's oldest Christmas Market in the south eastern city of Dresden. Striezelkinder (Kids from Striezel) were street vendors in the 1800's, selling Pflaumentoffeln, a figure made entirely from dried prunes, as well as toys and Christmas decorations.
