Gastmahl des Meeres

Gastmahl des Meeres (feast of the ocean) was a very popular chain of seafood restaurants in the former East Germany/DDR.

I’ve managed to source some more of these wonderful 1980s porcelain plates from the now closed Potsdam branch of Gastmahl des Meeres. A little piece of history in a plate.

Made in the GDR/DDR from transfer printed porcelain by Colditzer Porzellan.
